Jaya Bachchan
Jaya Bachchan (born Jaya Bhaduri on April 9, 1948) is a celebrated Indian actress and politician known for her natural performances in Hindi cinema. A graduate of the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), she made her debut in Guddi (1971) and gained recognition for films like Koshish (1972), Abhimaan (1973), Chupke Chupke (1975), Mili (1975), and Sholay (1975). Renowned for her emotive acting, she won multiple Filmfare Awards, including Best Actress and Best Supporting Actress for later films like Fiza (2000), Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham (2001), and Kal Ho Naa Ho (2003). Beyond cinema, Jaya Bachchan has been an active politician, serving as a Member of Parliament in the Rajya Sabha since 2004. Married to legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan, she is the mother of Abhishek Bachchan and Shweta Bachchan Nanda.
