Tichakorn Phukhaotong

Tichakorn Phukhaotong, nicknamed Jojo, is a TV director, screenwriter, and the founder of Trasher Bangkok, a party-planning service. He graduated with a bachelor's degree in English from the Faculty of Archaeology at Silpakorn University. The Surat Thani native made his directorial debut in 2016 with the first season of 'Gay OK Bangkok' which he also wrote. He had no background in film-making, but he had always wanted to become a director. Before that, he started his career making Bangkok-set parody videos of pop songs, most of them starring actor Jennie Panhan. Openly gay, Jojo felt that gay characters were typically either represented as sassy, tragic figures or as cute schoolboy couples in Thai media. With hopes of expanding their representation in the media, Jojo developed an idea for his debut series based on his own experience and that of the people in his community. In 2021, after departing from Trasher Bangkok, Tichakorn launched a new production company, Hard Feeling Film, named after Lorde's song.
